What Is Glampfest?

COVID-19 UPDATE

6/5/20 We have made the difficult decision that Glampfest should be postponed until May 2021. We’re struggling to find an autumn date suitable for all performers, service providers and traders, and there’s still uncertainty around the coronavirus – so even if we're allowed to go ahead we’d rather not try and force it and end up with a substandard Glampfest that just isn’t quite what it should be.

The new dates will be  14th – 16th May 2021, and we are putting our all into ensuring that Glampfest 2021 is everything that we'd hoped for and more. All tickets for this year’s event will remain valid for the new 2021 dates, with nothing further to pay. So whilst refunds can be requested by those that need them, by holding onto your ticket you will guarantee your spot at next year’s event for this year's price and you’ll be doing us a huge favour by supporting Glampfest and our family-run business Glawning at this difficult time.

So we hope to see you at Glampfest 2021!  With an extra 12 months to organise it, we’re gearing up for it to be the best yet! And it’ll be here before we know it.

Remember, we are holding a Virtual Glampfest next weekend when it would have been happening for real and we’d love to have you on board, glamping in your garden, hanging out in your living room, whatever – just head over to our Facebook event.  We have competitions, cookery demo, activities, music sets, and more all lined up for you to create a DIY Glampfest together, apart.

Stay safe and thank you for your understanding. Give us a shout if you’ve got any questions.

All the best,

Sarah, James and the team xx

Back by popular demand, Glampfest is the annual charity festival by glawning, celebrating the great outdoors, fab food and family vibes, set against the backdrop of the beautiful North Yorkshire Dales. Every year we put together a weekend to remember that is family friendly and aimed ultimately at your relaxation.  Yoga, beauty treatments, a safe and chilled site make it one of the best festivals around. For our day job we design and sell glamorous driveaway awnings for campervans - check us out here - so you might notice quite a few of these pretty glawnings at our festival.  Come and feast your eyes on their amazing cozy interiors.  You can even hire one for yourself for the weekend from Tipi or Not Tipi! Included in your ticket price you will get some great free activities, funky music, choice stalls and loads of family fun, together with great opportunities to help raise money for our chosen charity (e.g. luxury tombola). Tents, caravans, camper vans and all other portable camping devices are welcome...and dogs too.  This year's theme is peace and love!  Take a trip back to the sixties with our groovy themed fancy dress night on Saturday!

All happening at Ivy Bank Campsite, Galphay Road, Kirkby Malzeard, Ripon, North Yorks HG4 3SS

Not got anything else booked in or taking the van anywhere. Nothing will compare to Glampfest. You’ve spoiled it for other festivals.

Everything about Glampfest was brilliant; food, drink, entertainment, sunshine, coffee, the company (even the mad ones!), the big cushions!

A fabulous weekend – next one soon please!

We really enjoyed the whole weekend. There was a really good vibe, lots for the children to do - they have loved it! Great entertainment, drinks were cheap and a great idea to have the food included. Great value for money. Thank you for a great weekend – hope to see you next year!

Mark, Hayley, Thom and Elsie

Great weekend – quick check-in, friendly staff, good value drinks, brilliant music, nice variety at BBQ, wood for sale was helpful, and the setup of the entertainment marquee with cushions was lovely!

The venue, music and food were all fantastic! Loved everything about this festival!

Charity

Supporting Local Charities

Glampfest is a charity event with various fundraising activities throughout the weekend to help support the fantastic work of local charities.

This year our chosen charity is Follifoot Park Disabled Riders Group - providing opportunities for people with a wide range of disabilities to enjoy the unique benefits of horse riding and carriage driving.

We are also going to silent auction a Masterpiece Glawning...all will be revealed!.  The proceeds from this will go to CALM (prevention of male suicide) after the sad recent loss of our friend Olli - fellow Glawning Owner and Glampfest goer.
